Holiday Events in Teton Valley

The snow means that the holidays are just around the corner. This beautiful valley has a lot wonderful events you won’t want to miss.

Victor’s annual Holiday Festival and Light Parade will be held on Saturday, December 5th. Make sure you stop by the West Group Real Estate office between 2:00-5:00 to say hello and get some yummy treats. We want to say thank you to all of our friends for the support that we have been given this last year, and hopefully make some new friends as well. Besides stopping by our office you will want to check out all of the other festivities: Friends of the Library Book Sale, Live Nativity Scene, Turkey Bowling, and the free Hot Potato giveaway just to name a few. Be sure to also stop by “Music and Mangers” they will have close to 100 different nativity scenes and various choral groups performing at Victor Elementary School. To top it all off there is the light parade that evening. Immediately following the parade there will be a fireworks display. You won’t want to miss it.

This is the season for giving and the City of Victor is joining in to help families in need though the Subs for Santa Program. There is a large box at City hall for donations. Goods will be picked up on December 11th. They are especially in need of gifts for teenagers. Gifts cards and gas cards are really appreciated.

Going to see Charles Dickens, “A Christmas Carol” is one of the favorite Christmas traditions here in the valley. The story of Ebenezer Scrooge and his encounters with the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future is a reminder to all of us to always remember Christmas is a time of giving. Show dates and times are December 4th, 5th, 10th, 11th, and 12th at 7:00 pm. There is a matinee on Saturday at 4:00 pm. It is never to late to start the tradition with your family.

Grand Targhee will be celebrating the New year with their Torchlight Parade and Fireworks. The children’s parade (ages 5-12) will take place at 4:30, with the adult parade (ages 12+) taking place at 5:30.  Participation is limited so register early. Even for those people who don’t ski or snowboard it’s a fun event. Keep an eye out on their website for more information.

Merry Christmas from all of us here at West Group Real Estate.
